Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress, popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in 1960s. She began acting in stage shows during the 1950s beginning with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. She continued to perform in various Broadway productions before making it big on the national theatre space with Li'l Abner' in 1957. The singer also released her debut album of music, It's Time For Tina that same year. Her debut appearance into Hollywood was as Griselda on God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 film. The film was met with wide acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's pupil. Her next role that she played was Ginger Grant, which CBS was the first to sign her on for in 1964. Louise had a successful career in Hollywood as well as Broadway, playing somber characters to counter her image of the glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series as well as Helen Magnus, but in the last few years she's earned a reputation for herself as a director of well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. Her birthplace was in Essex on August 28 on the 28th of August, 1965. The family relocated to Toronto to spend her youth. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver in Canada following her choice to play the lead.
