Coleman was born in the Lancashire town of Blackpool. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head girl and received straight As on her A-levels. When discussing her Emmerdale appearance Coleman confessed regrets that she did not go to University. Coleman when she was still in High School, was a student of a theatre group called In Yer Space. They performed the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. She was awarded an award for her performance while the production was also well-received. Coleman, who was auditioning to join drama colleges in 2005, got Jasmine Thomas' role in Emmerdale. Coleman was twice nominated for prizes in 2007. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two awards, for the British Soap Awards as the Best Newcomer, and the National Television Awards as the Most Popular. For the British Soap Awards of 2009 she was awarded in the categories Best Actress and Sexiest female and Best acting in a Drama. Coleman is nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. On the 21st March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat announced at a press event that Coleman was set to be the companion of the Doctor alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat selected her for the role due to her being the most effective when working with Smith and spoke more quickly than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the world of entertainment since 1987. She is more well-known for her TV work than the film industry. Eva is most well-known for her roles as Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. Eva was nominated for the two "Daytime Emmys" for her first part as well as having the a chance explore the musical side of her. Eva as well as being an actress is also an entrepreneur, philanthropist and business owner. She was married three times and has a daughter from her first husband.
