Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid is of Chinese heritage and was born during the war in Vietnam. She has a father named Winston Barrett Munn is from an American family that has deep roots in America's South. Olivia was 2 years old when she was divorced from her parents. The family now is run by her mother and stepfather. He is an United States Air Force soldier. She was raised primarily in Tokyo, Japan, even although the family moved often. During this time she performed in several local theatre productions. Later, she began modeling for the Japanese fashion industry. When the family eventually returned to the United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. Following a handful of small roles and a few small roles, her career took off on a very promising turn when she landed the role of Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed TV series Beyond the Break (2006) and the role of Rob Schneider's receptionist in Big Stan (2007).
