Hayley Orantia is American actor, musician and singer. Most people recognise the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy The Goldbergs' TV show. However, she considers herself primarily an artist. When she was nine years old older, she started playing around with music. The first time she began to study music professionally when she was twelve. As a teenager, she started writing her own music. The first album she released as a cover didn't come out until 14 years later. The rest is history. Orrantia was born in the USA, yet has Hispanic heritage. She is proud of the reality that she is a native of Hispanic roots, even though she was raised using English only, and did not live in Mexico. She strives to preserve it by studying Spanish and writing songs in the language. "Hasta Verte," which she composed in Spanish is an example of this. Orrantia was chosen to be an audition for the X Factor's inaugural season in the summer of 2011. Orrantia was chosen as a result of the submission of a YouTube video submission and received the judges' four "yes" votes from the jury in the live audition stage in Seattle, Washington. Her initial audition was for solo performance, but during the "Hollywood Week" she was paired along with three female vocalists in a trio for the remaining auditions. They were eliminated from the show during the fifth week of live performances.
